Native of Florence, actor dancer, singer, costume and fashion designer. I'm currently on a Disney Live tour traveling Japan and soon the U.S. also employed by the Walt Disney World Resort. Frequent visitor and soon to call Florence home again. I love local theatre and am glad to call the Z home.
Tim has been involved with theater all over the Shoals, starting with his time in Connection at Coffee High School, continuing through his time in the UNA Theatre Dept., and finally on to being an active participant in all the theater groups throughout the Shoals. He is the owner of Steak’n’Stuff. He has made many memories in the Zodiac and is looking forward to being a part of preserving the space so others can do the same.
Martin Dean, Broker of Cypress Realty, a local real estate company, is excited to join the other board members in our effort to save the HZP. Martin started his life long love of theatre at the age of 8 with Gingerbread Children's theatre, as an adult Martin has done several shows with the Zodiac players and is excited to be a part of this new chapter.
I've always been interested in the telling of the story. I live in Tuscumbia and grew up in Florence. I've directed and acted in more than a few local productions. I'm a world-class scrounger/scavenger. I consider myself rich because of the individuals I call "friend".
I have been involved, one way or another, with the theater community in the Shoals for 30 years. B.A. in Theater from UNA (under the tutelage of the inimitable RAH) and M.F.A. in Directing from the University of Memphis. Zodiac is where I had my first part with more than 4 lines, my first solo, and has given me most of my closest friends-who-are-family.
Gena Rawdon performed in community theatre in the Shoals from 1993 to 2000, when she moved to Huntsville. Some of her favorite memories are from Zodiac shows!
With the exception of spending time with my family, the stage is my happy place. I was a theatre major at UNA under the tutelage of the legendary Robert Allen Holder and Jim Davis. I performed in many productions, and had my first directorial debut. Since then, I have been performing on one stage or another throughout the Shoals area for as long as I can remember. It is my passion and my first love. The Zodiac, and its intimate setting, will forever have an extra special place In my heart.
With over 150 shows to my name, I have acted, directed, written and created for years in the Shoals theatre community, serving in every capacity from lighting operator to stage manager, from make-up artist to props. For the last 11 seasons I have worked in marketing and sales in the largest non-profit theatre in the U.S., Theatre Under the Stars in Houston, but Zodiac will always be my heart.
Mom and wife first. I am a lover of the theater and have been involved locally for the past 17 years. I am excited to be on the board at The Z and look forward to helping any way I can.
